Dream Art Contest Semi Finalist!

Lennox with his award winning work entitled "The Dream and the Legacy of Hope."
Great work Lennox, Trickum Middle School wishes you all the best as you advances to the final round!

Please join me in congratulating Lennox Nguyen, a seventh grader at Trickum Middle School, who has just been named a Semi Finalist in the "Dream Art Contest." Lennox will be recognized at an awards ceremony that will be held at the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel, hosted by Morehouse College and The King Center, on Saturday, January 19, 2:30.

Lennox's work will now advance to the FINALS, where 7 judges will choose one grand-prize winner as well as a first-place winner and two runner-ups in each of the three school categories, for a total of ten winners. These ten winners will be announced on-line in early February 2012 and will be honored at a VIP awards ceremony to be held at the King Center in February for Black History Month as well as an exhibit to be held at the High Museum of Art. In addition, the winning students and their art programs will receive gift cards totaling more than $10,000 from Blick Art Materials, Binders Art Supplies, and Target and will have their work prominently displayed throughout Atlanta on billboards and in the public transportation system (that's right Lennox's work might cover the side of a Marta bus or train car!).
